About the RUCKUS R770 Access Point
The RUCKUS R770 is a high-end, tri-band concurrent indoor access point built for the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) era. It delivers 8 spatial streams — 2x2:2 in 2.4 GHz, 4x4:4 in 5 GHz and 2x2:2 in 6 GHz — with a combined data rate of 12.22 Gbps, and supports headline Wi-Fi 7 capabilities such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO), Preamble Puncturing, 4K QAM modulation and 320 MHz channels. A built-in 1/2.5/5/10 GbE port connects directly to multi-gigabit switches and eliminates the wired backhaul bottleneck, so the full Wi-Fi capacity of the AP is actually usable.
RUCKUS patented technologies set the R770 apart in dense, noisy RF environments. BeamFlex+ adaptive antennas choose among more than 4,000 antenna patterns per band in real time to optimize coverage and reduce interference, while Airtime Decongestion and Transient Client Management keep average throughput high in heavily congested spaces. With capacity for up to 1024 clients per AP, the R770 addresses transit hubs, auditoriums, conference centers, large classrooms and other high-traffic indoor venues, including data-intensive 4K/8K video streaming and latency-sensitive voice applications.
The R770 is also a converged access point: an onboard IoT radio offers selectable BLE or Zigbee connectivity (with Matter and Thread support planned in a future update), and a USB 2.0 port allows expansion to new wireless technologies. Security includes WPA3, RUCKUS DPSK3 dynamic passphrases, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, while management options span RUCKUS One cloud, SmartZone controllers, RUCKUS Unleashed and standalone mode.
