About the Ruckus R850 Access Point
The RUCKUS R850 is RUCKUS Networks' highest-capacity indoor Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point, engineered for ultra-high-density environments such as stadiums, large public venues, convention centers and school auditoriums. Its dual-band, dual-concurrent design delivers 12 spatial streams — 8x8:8 on the 5 GHz radio and 4x4:4 on the 2.4 GHz radio — for a combined PHY data rate of 5.9 Gbps (4,800 Mbps on 5 GHz plus 1,148 Mbps on 2.4 GHz).
With OFDMA, MU-MIMO and Target Wake Time (TWT), the R850 efficiently manages up to 1,024 client connections while RUCKUS BeamFlex+ adaptive antennas select among more than 4,000 unique antenna patterns in real time to mitigate interference and extend coverage. A 1/2.5/5 GbE multi-gigabit Ethernet port eliminates wired backhaul bottlenecks, onboard BLE and Zigbee radios enable IoT services through the RUCKUS IoT Suite, and WPA3 with Dynamic PSK protects every connection.
Deploy and manage the R850 the way your operation requires: on-premises with SmartZone or ZoneDirector, controller-less with RUCKUS Unleashed, or from the cloud.
