At the heart of the SP72 is a 2.3 megapixel imager that captures items at swipe speeds of up to 120 inches (305 cm) per second and reads every major 1D, 2D and Digimarc barcode — from UPC/EAN and Code 128 to PDF417, Data Matrix and QR codes. Flexible host interfaces (USB, RS232, keyboard wedge and TGCS/IBM 46XX over RS485) make it easy to deploy on virtually any point-of-sale system, while an IP52 environmental seal and rugged Sapphire or DLC glass on the SP72-H stand up to demanding retail environments.
